[Journal] Writing Prompt #02 - INFP and 7 Reasons Why this Type could be Dangerous

Prompt 332.

Personality Type : INFP

In this occasion, I decide to pick a prompt about personality type and make one journal post instead of short story like the previous. First of all, this reminds me of how I used to diligently write about what I've gone through in a diary. Every. Single. Day. And the second, is that my diary app sadly crashed and I've been stopped writing since then. Now, writing casually in english seems a little bit more tricky because this hand is losing its pace of good habit :(
So, you probably already know, or at least, heard about MBTI (stands for Myer-Briggs Type Indicator) which can differentiates people into 16 types of personalities. It is perhaps, still one of the most popular personality test method among others. Based on this test, I found myself fall into an INFP type characteristics. It means that I'm an Introvert, an iNtuitive, Feeler, and Perceiver, when it comes to approaching in work, planning, and decision-making. Also, I defined as an Assertive-type.

But in this post, I wouldn't talk much about INFP and their stereotypical traits. If you want to read the full description of 16 types, or want to test your personality (it's FREE!), just click here. Basically, INFP who made up only 4% of world population, are described as the meekest one in spirit. INFPs are known to be good listener, compassionate. A rare, fragile emotional snowflakes, a hipster, smell like tears and cigarettes (No, I'm not smoking, it's just what Tumblr aesthetically said >-<). Yes, I often get more melancholic than of my friends, and depressed some of the times. But I'm not crying 24/7 -___-

Now, I'm going to tell about 7 Reasons why INFPs could be Dangerous:

1. INFPs are capable of being very analytical even when you don't think they are.
I can easily read people like seeing through the glass, especially who are very close to me, when they are hiding something fishy or telling lies. But more often than not, I choose to not strongly react or pretend like I didn't know anything, because I'm scared to hurt them back (Okay, this is the most INFP things to say). So, INFP knew the secrets. But they would just sit, listen, and observe you in silence.

2. Their emotions run so quickly and intensely that you could get a whiplash.
These are not visible in everyday life, but my closest bestfriend might experienced some of this before. Hahah, sorry!

[Short Story] Writing Prompt #01 - Outside the Window

Prompt 1.

Outside the Window

I always imagine how does it feel, if I finally have a real window in my room. No, not a ventilation that filtered the dust from the air outside just like what I've got when I was child, in my old little room in the previous city. Although it was still nice, to have the dim light slipping through the tiny-sized net every single dawn and see, the shadow of birches leaves--I believe it was the last plant life that stood up in the neighbourhood--staining the whole bed and I watch it waving on a windy day. It was magical, indeed. But sometimes, I want a real window in my room. It doesn't have to be perfect. It doesn't have to be as large as the wall side. As long as I can see the scenery outside the window, I'd be really, really glad and can't even fathom how much happiness I would get.

Yet, my older sister won't ever let that dream of mine come true.

"Can we just make it ourselves, Maggie? A window here--"

"A window?! Stop it, Anuella. We've talk about this. It won't work,"she answers irritatedly, one or another day, everytime I convey that wish.

I understand that my sister tried her best to do the job, to quickly run over the grocery and hoard our food supply, at least for the next one year. I know, that she might missed our parents so bad and want to replace their figure. Because mom and dad, used to keep us safe inside. Because they never skipped a day to feeding us, until the day when they just disappear and never coming back to visit our room. But still, I can't stop thinking to have a window and that isolating ourself probably not a way to live a life as a human.

a/n: Just a quick piece with minimum research. Didn't expect that this would be so dark and weird. But it is :''

[Book Review] Katzenjammer

Judul: Katzenjammer
Penulis: Stefani Hid
Penerbit: Gramedia Pustaka Utama
Tebal: 218 halaman

"Kesadaran tinggi yang kumiliki membuatku selalu mempelajari dan menguji keberadaanku, dan akhirnya aku memilih teori yang kusimpulkan sendiri tentang hal itu. Teori-teori itu seringkali berganti dalam banyak periode dan umur dalam hidupku, lantaran aku selalu menguji dan memperbaruinya." — Aya

Okay first of all, I'm going to say that this book is dangerous. Not merely because it contains R-rated contents like alcohol-drug usage, swearing words, and certain sexual preference—this book labeled as adult fiction anyway and this is my first time reading one—but because of perspectives and values inserted to the characters' mind, which are unusual and some of them are contradicted, well, at least with mine. This is the first book I finished in 2018 and honestly, while reading this book, I had to keep reminding my own self to be fully aware so I'm not drowned in the character's negativity.

I think Katzenjammer succeded at evoking my deepest fear, meaning in a good way, because what's the point of a book if it's not disturbed one's head little bit? Set up in little town called Ochtrup and Rheine, the writer explored the different side of Germany: the-not-so-idyllic-nor-intellegent-as-imagined. And Stefani Hid did a good job to make the readers easily dragged into the depth of Aya's mind, tangled with excessive worrisome and cynicism over her life—just admit we all indeed experienced these traits once in a while. So I'm gonna say, if you are young adult who still unsure about yourself, who haven't found the true personal meaning of happiness, having severe existential crisis, this book is not that recommended because it has tendency to make you even more lost.

[Short Story] Minggat

“Kok kepenaken uripmu, Sri?! Lek kowe pengen numpang neng kene yo kudu gelem nyambut gawe!” [1] demikian kakaknya selalu memaki dirinya. Entah kenapa, kakaknya tak pernah setuju jika sang bapak menitipkan Sri padanya.
